Uptown Auto Spa

Referred to as the "Wash Mahal", the Uptown Auto Spa has an impressive facade that architecturally emulates that of Temecula's ornate city hall.  Located in an area that called for a city park to be built, the owner was able to get his car wash approved as long as it didn't look like a car wash.  That directive led to the impressive architectural design of this auto spa.  As part of that build,  the dome atop the city hall was chosen to be their trademark and will be used in all their future builds, but as a smaller version.

Various roadblocks were part of this build which added to the level of complexity.  Located on a one-acre site in Temecula, CA.  a stormwater collection system had to be installed around the perimeter to corral and strain all rainwater runoff before being released onto the sewer system.  They chose to go green and have built-in amazing technology that recaptures the water and recycles it to minimize waste.

There were also historic rights to contend with because of the nearby Pechanga Indian Reservation.  Although previously developed, care had to be taken while digging and had to have oversight from members of the Pechanga tribe.  This was to ensure oversight should any historical artifacts be uncovered as they would need to be properly preserved.  

Outside of these challenges, the owner also made an innovative decision to build with Premier SIPS.  Each sip is manufactured off-site and shipped in pieces to the job site.  It requires onsite contractors to attach the joints to the outer facade. This decision reduced job-site congestion as well as costs generally associated with a more standard build.

This auto spa provides a well-equipped drying zone, 12 free vacuum stations, and clients are always greeted by an employee to guide customers onto the 125-foot conveyor.  The company offers memberships for unlimited car washes that can be redeemed at any of their upcoming locations.
