Why SIPs?
The client needed additional space for their growing family and was looking for an affordable alternative to remodeling their current home or moving. The space had to be flexible enough to serve as overflow space for the family, a full-time home for extended family, or potentially a rental property. Which meant it had to be cozy, comfortable, and energy efficient. SIP panels helped us create a dwelling that met all their needs.
Benefits of SIPs:
By utilizing SIP panels, we were able to construct a very energy-efficient DADU, perfect for our cold, wet Seattle winters.
Innovative Elements:
We used a pier and beam foundation, which required less concrete, and minimal disruption to the existing yard.
