Project Overview

Premier SIPs were chosen for the construction of this Montana motel to lower operating costs, as SIPs are well-documented to reduce heating and cooling costs, and associated fossil fuel consumption and carbon emissions. The motel owner and builder, Mr. Daniel, also aimed to provide his guests with a quiet, comfortable stay. The solid core rigid insulation and OSB structural facings of Premier SIPs effectively mitigate noise from the nearby interstate.

Design and Sustainability

Speed of construction was a critical consideration to meet the opening deadline, especially given the cold Montana winter where snow accumulates in feet, not inches. Large sections of the motel were manufactured offsite and installed as single pieces, significantly expediting the construction process. Despite the harsh winter conditions, the installation proceeded without delay, showcasing the efficiency and resilience of Premier SIPs.
