Benefits of SIPs: The speed was the most important - our SIPs building envelope was complete 5 days. Overall, there were significant savings in labor, fewer trades with factory fabrication, precision panels (no bowing, or cutting)and as a result lower construction cost. Having just moved in in Dec 2021, we expected to see significant energy savings over our previous residences.
Innovative Design Elements: The house was designed for ADA compliance with a curved shower, and long term living for the soon-to-be retired homeowners. Additionally, custom made beams and siding was produced from the trees taken down from the property prior to construction.

The walls are protected by 6,500 sq.ft. RainScreen SA, self-adhered air and water resistive barrier with factory installed drainage matrix to reduce the incidence of moisture related damage behind the cladding system. By creating an essential drainage plane, RainScreen SA allows moisture to move away from the structure"
