Why SIPs?:
The customers specifically wanted a timber frame home with SIPS. Due to this they reached out to Tamarack Construction specifically for their knowledge and experience building with SIPS.
Benefit of SIPs:
Due to the use of SIPS the construction time was faster, and the labor needed to put up the exterior shell was less. The SIPS product has provided the owners with an energy efficient home, and they will save on utility costs.
Innovative Design Elements:
This building is a Timber Frame design and incorporates over 680 individual timbers. There are also pre-cast pre-stressed slabs to support the garage over top of the clear span shop.

HVAC:
Two electric heat pumps for the upper level. A gas fired boiler and in floor radiant heat in the lower level.
Energy-Saving Materials:

- Hot water heating is a side arm on the boiler system
- All LED lighting
- Heat Recovery Ventilation (HRV) throughout the building
