Project Overview
Renton Shop and Garage
End Use: Net zero energy shop/garage that accommodates and stores Semi Trucks for owner of a Creative Microsystems. The shop is used for product development of the company's systems which manage weight for semi trucks to help determine loads for roads. Because semi's are the biggest contributors to pot holes and road wear and this weight system on the trucks helps roads last longer and reduce use of paving resources.
Why SIPs: The nature of our business and priorities is to conserve resources. On the roads through the trucking/supply chain and in all areas of life. So it was only natural to select high performance building materials and assemblies that also preserve/conserve natural resources.
Benefits of SIPs: Net Zero was the goal! SIPs create the building envelope needed to create a high performing structure.
